Policy & Program Coordinator

Ilana has been researching and writing about education issues for the past four years, including topics such as educational equity, teacher and principal quality, charter schools and choice, and school performance. As an undergraduate, she worked as a research assistant for a graduate professor at Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education & Counseling culminating in a co-authored published paper on equity issues in Oregon public schools. Most recently, Ilana completed a post-graduate internship with Teach for America Colorado and policy fellowship at Colorado Succeeds. She is excited to be continuing her work with Colorado Succeeds as the Policy and Program coordinator. In her free time, she has volunteered through Reading Partners to work with students to improve their reading skills here in Denver.

Ilana holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration at the University of Colorado, Denver. Ilana grew up in Boulder, Colorado and currently lives in Denver with her dog, Bento.
